The Maintenance of Trees Engineering

Introduction

Trees Engineering, a pioneering platform facilitating connections between freelancers, subcontractors, and clients in the field of Task-based Engineering, Manpower, and Consultancy. As the maintainer for this project, my role was to fix issues and develop new features, with a primary focus on creating a user-friendly job section showcasing the company's open positions.

Objective

The primary goal of this initiative was to fix existing issues and create an intuitive and informative job section within the Trees Engineering website. The revamped section needed to provide a visually appealing and user-friendly environment, enabling freelancers and subcontractors to explore and apply for relevant opportunities effortlessly.

Challenges

Several challenges were identified at the project's inception:

1. Integration with Existing Systems

Ensuring smooth integration with Trees Engineering's existing platform structure and engineering architecture.

2. Tailored User Experience

Enhancing the overall user experience for freelancers, subcontractors, and clients engaged in Task-based Engineering, Manpower, and Consultancy.

3. Detailed Job Information

Designing dedicated single page for job opening to comprehensively display details such as task description, required skills, application process, and contact information.

Solution

1. Integration with Existing Systems

An analysis of Trees Engineering's platform structure and databases was conducted. APIs were developed to fetch jobs and job details from internal systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

2. Tailored User Experience

User feedback sessions were conducted to understand the unique preferences and expectations of freelancers, subcontractors, and clients in the task-based engineering, manpower, and consultancy domains. The design was modernized, with a focus on adaptability for both desktop and mobile users.

3. Detailed Job Information

Each job opening received its own dedicated single page, offering a comprehensive overview of the position. This included detailed information on tasks, required skills, benefits, and an application form. The design prioritized clarity and simplicity, ensuring users could easily access and digest essential information.

The job details pages are dynamically created on the server using SSR (Server-Side Rendering) technique. This enhances search engine accessibility, enabling them to better comprehend the content and efficiently index it for improved visibility.

Results

As the maintainer of the Trees Engineering, I fixed existing issues and enhanced the job section, achieving increased user engagement and streamlining the application process. The positive feedback from users and stakeholders validates the success of the initiative in aligning with Trees Engineering's commitment to innovation and delivering a seamless experience for freelancers, subcontractors, and clients in Task-based Engineering, Manpower, and Consultancy.
